How Much Does a Professional Brand Video Cost?

The most common question in video production has the least satisfying answer: it depends. But it depends on specific things, and once you know them, you can read any quote and tell whether it is fair. Here are real numbers for 2026.

The budget levels

$1,000–$3,000 — the essentials. One shooter, one day, a simple edit. A talking-head interview, a short social cut, a basic product video. Good for a single-purpose asset.

$3,000–$10,000 — the standard brand video. A small crew (director, camera, sound, lighting), one to two shoot days, professional editing, colour and sound mix, licensed music. This is where most small-business brand films live: a 60–90 second piece for the homepage plus social cutdowns.

$10,000–$30,000 — the campaign. Multiple locations, talent, a larger crew, motion graphics, several deliverables cut for different platforms. For launches and campaigns with real media spend behind them.

$30,000+ — the production. Full crew, casting, art direction, multiple shoot days, cinema-grade finish. For brands where the video is the campaign.

What drives the price

Crew size and shoot days are the biggest costs, followed by locations, talent and licensing. Post-production is often underestimated: a good edit, colour grade and sound mix can be a third of the budget. Revisions also cost — agree on the number of revision rounds in the quote, or the edit will drift.

Where the money is wasted

Paying for cinema cameras on a video that will only ever play on Instagram. Shooting five locations for a 60-second film. Endless revisions because the brief was never written down. The most expensive video is the one you shoot twice — a clear brief and a shot list agreed before the shoot day save more money than any negotiation.
